From a distance, the Sky City Cultural Center & Haak'u Museum at Acoma Pueblo blends in with the land around it: The lines of the building mimic those of the mesa above, and long vertical windows imitate the strips of sky that punctuate rock spires. The center's stucco reflects all six colors found in the surrounding rock and earth. Glittering mica panels in the museum are an echo of the Milky Way arcing over the pueblo at night.
